(the event formally known as HITCHED)

Well, we aren’t quite at Prince status, but we are currently nameless and still awesome! That’s right, some not-so-nice people who didn’t learn to share in kindergarten decided to buy {trademark to be official} the word HITCHED and they want to take us to federal court to throw their tantrum publicly. After many months of legal discussion and deliberation, we are choosing to forgo the playground brawl and keep our dough and event in tact, with tact.

And with a NEW NAME.

{Our mamas always told us to ignore the bullies on the playground}.

What is that NEW NAME?  That’s where you, our loyal playmates, come in. We need your help. You play nice, right? Will you help us build back the HITCHED fort?  {oops, sometimes it slips}

Here’s the deal: leave a comment below with your suggestion for the name.  If we pick your choice, you will win 2 free tickets to the next event PLUS a free night’s stay at a swanky hotel in that city. Yes, a full ride to the event formerly known as HITCHED. {dang, we said it again}.

MAKE IT COUNT FRIENDS. WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT.

  1. go the anthropologie route and drop all the vowels: htchd. hahah.

  2. Get Wed.

My suggestion is Whirl, because formally know as Hitch events always have great music.

  7. perhaps...

    the union or
    unveil/ unveiled

  8. Hitched is such a great name. Those little weiners. Oh well, I've always thought Marrieds would be a fun name for a wedding business. Or maybe Yoke. What a fun word. Yoke!

  17. Sorry to hear that guys, but on with the show! I'm sure even with a new name it'll be just as great. My suggestion is:

    Tied with a Vow

    ReplyDelete
  18. How about "bitched" because that's what the people did who trademarked the name. No no just kidding.

I think you should stick with your lovely company name. Maybe call it "The Bash, Please". The event is created by both of you and your company name perfectly combines your two personalities and styles.

PS - No matter what you change the name to - I'm determined to come to this event in the Fall (all the way from Nebraska!)

    "SNATCHED UP"

    ReplyDelete

    Ensemble " a curated wedding event "

But I'm loving some of the creativity:
    matchmade
    BE+LOVED (could also be "2LOVE + BeLOVED")
    unFETEred
    tildeathdouspart(Y)

    I also came up with:
    KISS + TELL

  72. This word nerd suggests ‘Kaleidoscope” for three main reasons:
    1) the word is derived from the Ancient Greek word for beauty or beautiful, which fits your work perfectly :-)
    2) looking into a kaleidoscope "the tumbling of the coloured objects presents the viewer with varying colours and patterns" (thanks wikipedia!), which fits all of the exhibitors' work coming together at the event
    3) It has the words ‘I do’ in it! Perfect for a wedding event!
